When I put my virginity up for auction in September, it was in part a sociological experiment — I wanted to study the public’s response. Now it seems that the tables have turned, and the public is studying me.

I’m a 22-year-old woman who recently earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Women’s Studies, and soon I’ll be entering a Masters Degree program in Marriage and Family Therapy. During the time in between, in addition to my regular 9-to-5, I’ve been exploring my upcoming thesis project: the value of virginity. To be more specific, I’ve put my own virginity up for auction on the Moonlight Bunny Ranch website, and I recently received my highest bid so far: a cool $3.8 million.

In addition to bids, however, I’ve also received an astonishing, sometimes unnerving, amount of media attention. Many of these reports have portrayed me inaccurately, however, so let me tell you what this is all about.

This all started long before September. In fact, it started in college, where my eyes were opened by my Women’s Studies professors and fellow classmates. I came to understand the role of “woman” spanning culture and time. At the university level, I was given permission to think differently and form a moral code of my own design. Chickipedia receives over one million unique visitors every month. The site is entirely user generated, making it the first female-only encyclopedia of the people, by the people, and for the people.

My guess is it’s mostly generated by men. Hence the name, and the sexiest woman in August…Ashley Dupree, the women that brought down Elliot Spitzer. This site has sexist articles and even the actresses breast sizes and measurements. Objectification once again, although I do like me some Famke Janssen.

Apparently, woman-on-woman sexual assault in correctional facilities is extremely unusual and is being handled with great secrecy by the department.

The alleged victim, claims that someone entered her cell in the 1000 bed facility while she was asleep, sometime before 6am on July 3. She says the intruder(s) bound and gagged her with bedsheets and then proceeded to assault her with a dido-like object.

The incident was reported at 7:30am and the victim was transported to a local hospital.

What remains to be answered, is how did the intruder gain access to her cell since she did not share her cell with anyone, and why was she assaulted?

One source suggests that the woman was targeted in a power play by another inmate anxious to flex her muscles.

Correction Department spokesman Stephen Morello said:

“We do not tolerate any type of sexual abuse by anyone in the jails. For more than five years, we have engaged in a campaign to prevent it.”

The DA’s office declined to comment.

7. In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, it is illegal to have sex with a truck driver inside a toll booth.
8. Having sexual relations with a porcupine is illegal in Florida.
9. It is illegal in Utah to marry your first cousin before the age of 65.
10. Sex with animals is perfectly legal for men in Washington state, as long as the animal weighs less than 40 pounds.
