Our classy President at the 2008 Olympics!
Reminds me of this other classy moment when our President literally rubs shoulders with German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the G8 Summit.

Natalie Coughlin turned in the best time of her life in her best event, the 100 backstroke, on Tuesday, finally delivering the gold medal that had eluded the American women in the first two days. As she stood on the awards podium as the first female to repeat as Olympic champion in the event, Coughlin wept.
“I was just overwhelmed with emotion,” she said. “The whole team gained a lot of emotion from the men’s relay. It was probably the most amazing swim I’ve seen. I think it got a lot of us pumped up for the rest of the meet.”
It was Coughlin’s third career Olympic gold medal and confirmed her as the foremost backstroker in women’s swimming.

I can’t stop listening to Adele’s debut cd 19. Like fellow vocalists Amy Winehouse, and Kate Nash, Adele honed her skills at the Brit School in south London. Her debut which topped the British charts earlier this year, shows off a voice that’s passionate and sounds quite extraordinary at times. Somewhere between soul, folk and jazz, Adele has described her musical style as “heartbroken soul”.
“The whole album is about being between 18 and 19; about love,” says Adele. “‘Daydreamer’ is about this boy I was in love with, like proper in love with. He was bi and I couldn’t deal with that. All the things I wanted from my boyfriend, he was never going to be. I get really jealous anyway, so I couldn’t fight with girls and boys. It’s quite a sad album, [with songs about] being cheated on and not getting what you want”.
19 is a superior pop/soul album guaranteed to be one of the more enjoyable listens of the year.
You can catch Adele LIVE in NYC on September 3rd at Webster Hall.
